Carlea Kiddoo is a figurative artist who draws, paints, writes, and moves according to the body and in collaboration with spirit and nature. Building upon years as a self-taught artist, she is currently completing a post-baccalaureate in painting & drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Shaped by (quiet pockets of midwestern nature) / (years of performance dance followed by years of mind/body separation leading to a process of re-delighting in movement for its own sake) / (a textured family) / (a stubborn religion) / (a waste not, want not philosophy) / (the practice of art as a gateway to both insight and agency).
